With their distinctive look, you'd think it would be hard to give newsboys individual characters, but compare (if you will) Stetson's Westport in olive and cranberry plaid with the Tuscan from Borsalino in striped brown. Even newsboys from the same designer and in the same fabrics--like the Edward and the Preston newsboys from Christys'--each have a unique personality. Try 'em on, you'll see. Page:

Newsboys (and those who wear them, celebrity or not) look good in leather. The Scala Justin (a classic eight-paneled affair) is just such a cap made of rich, supple leather, while The Angus (also from Scala) is another unisex newsboy made from a substantial suede leather we call "wolverine". Great looking, water and stain resistant, made in the USA - I could almost be talking about myself! Borsalino newsboys are always certain to delight, and this season I'm especially proud of The Ettore Newsboy, which was commissioned by and is offered exclusively at HartfordYork.com. The tweed Salvatore cap is another handsome Borsalino newsboy, and has hidden earflaps for cold ear comfort. Tweed lovers will not believe The Borsalino Mario - it's made from two finely woven woolen tweeds so soft, you'll swear it's cotton! If it's a one-of-a-kind woolen newsboy you're after, The Garibaldi from Borsalino is unique by its very nature of being made from carefully selected scraps. For a leather patch cap, turn to Scala's Antonio Newsboy. Either way, you'll dazzle. Another exclusive offer, available only here at HartfordYork.com, is The Falkenburg Newsboy. We had a hand in the design of this Wigens 100% lambs wool herringbone cap, and you'll find it nowhere else. I wish I had helped with The Baker Boy from Jonathan Richard too! It's a great, richly textured newsboy cap, with enough material to slough off to one side. Other captivating caps from this Irish designer include the substantial Dobby Newsboy in three great fall colors and the snap-front 6/4 panel Gatsby, nicely rugged in worsted wool. We're blatantly international here at HartfordYork.com, and give you a voila moment with The Left Bank, a full-fitting dark newsboy, from Anthony Peto of France. More twelve-inch diameter for that "Parisian artist" look in The Versailles, (with the nicest herringbone pattern I think I've ever seen). Magnifique is likely the bon mot I'm looking for here. From Italy, Christys' Italian Collection brings forth The Ione, a newsboy cap woven from a particularly lovely blend of black wool and cashmere, and the fit-for-a-king Claudius Cap (particularly sweet in Olive), both formed with cushion front and lined in jacquard weave material. Great newsboy caps from the world over. I'm like the U.N. hats!
