Who's been putting out the best-looking fur felt fedoras (like The Foldaway, The Vaughan, and The Trilby) in the world, since 1773? If you said Christys' London, and then added their exquisite woolen newsboys, cashmere ivy caps and classic walking hats to the mix, you'd be not only hat-smart, but probably very well dressed to boot. If you went on to extol the excellence that is Christys' fur felt bowler, The Chaplin, as well as that of their cushion-front, patchwork ivy wool blend cap, The Piave, then I salute you.

There's nothing like Scottish tartan, and The Aberdeen Ivy takes its place as a new classic. It's made from genuine Scottish woolen blends so superior that they've actually been trademarked by Christys'. I'm thinking they should to do the same with their grand little cashmere newsboy cap, The Alastair, (otherwise I might just call it mine). I'm feeling more than a little possessive over the Leland Walking Hat too: it's as handsome as The Harrison and that other rex, The Adriatic, in herringbone, but all gussied up in a nice brown tweed.
If you're careful, you can pack up your Christys' Gambler Panama Hat or their Elegant (a Grade 20 weave) on this year's southern sojourn, but carry it separately, please. If in doubt as to your packing skills, maybe you should stick with one of the linen caps, in plaid or broad pinstripe, from Christys' collection of fashion ivys. You may be wrinkled, but at least you won't be broken.
